Pedro Mairal is an Argentinean poet and narrator. Born in Buenos Aires in 1970, in the late 80’s he started Med School but abandoned Medicine to study literature. He has published fourteen books in different genres. In 1998 he won the Clarín prize for his novel A Night with Sabrina Love, which was later adapted into cinema. His work has been translated into six languages. In 2007, he was selected by the “Bogota39” committee as one of the most promising young Latin American writers.
