Grace Paley, née Goodside (1922–2007), was an American short story writer, poet, teacher, political and feminist activist, and anti-war advocate. She published three critically acclaimed collections of short stories, which were later compiled into the Pulitzer Prize and National Book Award finalist The Collected Stories in 1994.
