László Darvasi

László Darvasi is a Hungarian author, poet, playwright, teacher, journalist, and editor. He was born in 1962 in Törökszentmiklós, and is considered one of the most versatile contemporary writers and one of the best-known authors of his generation in his country. He wrote dozens of books and plays, especially short stories, and won over 20 literary awards, among them the prestigious Attila József Prize in 1998 and the Hungarian Laurel Wreath Award in 2010. His works have been translated into numerous languages.
