Uzi Weil, author, journalist, screenwriter, and translator, was born in 1964 in Kibbutz Gazit. At the age of one, he moved with his family to Tel Aviv and grew up in the neighborhood of Yad Eliyahu. Weil has published 13 books for adults and children. He wrote and edited The Back Page for “Ha’ir” weekly magazine, and wrote for the theater and television. He was among the regular writing staff of “Hahamishia Hakamerit” (“The Chamber Quintet”), an Israeli satiric cult series.
