Alice Bialsky was born in Moscow, and immigrated to Israel in 1990 at the age of 20. Bialsky studied film and television at Tel Aviv University. She directed a number of documentaries that were broadcast in Israel and abroad. The Crown Not Heavy is her literary debut.
