Bernardo Fernández, also known as Bef, is a Mexican writer, illustrator, and editor. He was born in Mexico City in 1972. Throughout his career, Bef experimented with diverse genres such as noir, science fiction, children’s literature, graphic novels, and prose. He has published twenty books and participated in numerous anthologies. Bef is a co-founder of Pellejo/Molleja publishing house and he teaches illustration in the Universidad Iberoamericana in Mexico City.
